The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) has a support tool for Mexicans living in the United States, for Mexicans who return, and for foreigners who are transiting through Mexico.
The CNDH created the tool "The plan is to have a plan" (El plan es tener un plan” , in Spanish) in order to help nationals during their stay in the United States or on their return to Mexico. This information can be found in our "Your Rights" section by clicking on our "CNDH" card.
The CNDH tool is divided into two sections for Mexicans: those who are in the United States and those who return to Mexico.
For migrants who are in the United States, the following sections are provided:
- Get Informed: Contains information on what to do in the event of a raid, information on the presentation of the Ser Frontera strategy, content on the rights of migrants in the US, a link to the Ciudadanízate de Acceso Latino, information on Women in Migration, advice on protecting your documents, location of Mexican consulates in the US, information on social programs from Mexico and more.
- Get Oriented: Includes useful information in case of arrest at home, in the car or at your work, contacts with civil associations and lawyers, among others.
- Get Defended: It provides information on protection, consult, advice on the deportation procedure, such as cancellation or recovery of wages.
For the nationals who are back in Mexico, the following sections are presented: Your rights, Integrate yourself and Support yourself. In each section you will find information and organizations that will help you in your daily life in the United States or in the national territory.
In Acceso Latino, your first immigration consultation window, you will find free tools that will help you in any situation in which you find yourself.
