Nonimmigrant or temporary visas are ideal for people to visit, study or work in the United States for a period of time and then return to their country of origin.
The Immigration and Nationality Law considers different categories of non-immigrant visas, each one has different purposes and characteristics.
For example, visas for visitors for pleasure or business travel (visa B) are focused on carrying out tourist and business activities. On the other hand, visas for students and exchange visitors (J visa) are designed for foreign students who participate in academic and cultural exchange programs, these are processed through an application at the US consulate or embassy in the country where the interested party resides.
There are also temporary worker visas (H visa), which are given to people with skills or knowledge who meet the requirements to practice their profession in the United States temporarily. In this case, always the employer who is in charge of submitting the application to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
For the B and J visas the fee is USD $ 160, on the other hand, the H visa has a fee of USD $ 190.
