The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and the National Institute of Migration (INM) announced that 678 Mexicans obtained their temporary visa to work in the United States.
During the "Have a Good Trip, Good Harvest and Safe Return" event, held in Apodaca, Nuevo León, federal authorities from the SRE and the INM announced that 678 compatriots received their farmworker visas and are ready to start working in the United States from temporary way.
In this sense, the Mexican workers left Apodaca, Nuevo León, bound for the state of Florida to work in agricultural fields on a seasonal basis. It is worth mentioning that they received an H-2A visa, for temporary agricultural workers.
The SRE recognized the importance of caring for the working conditions and rights of temporary workers of Mexican origin in the United States. "For this reason, this program constitutes an example of bilateral cooperation that has demonstrated the possibility of maintaining a migratory movement of workers in a regulated, dignified, safe and orderly manner," explained the head of the SRE.

Likewise, the SRE in a statement highlighted the importance of bilateral and inter-institutional work to promote regular migration that guarantees respect for the human rights of Mexican workers. In addition to the participation of the Mexican authorities, the workers received support from the company Big Force Academy, which specializes in agricultural and field work in the United States.
Finally, the head of the INM told the workers that on their return to Mexico they will be cared for and received in a dignified manner by migration and foreign relations agents of the country.
