MEXTERIOR has updated information on services and educational offerings for the Mexican population living abroad, especially in the United States.
MEXTERIOR is a platform of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Relations (SRE), which provides updated information on the educational offerings offered by the Mexican government to Mexican men and women abroad.
La Dirección General de Política Educativa, Mejores Prácticas y Cooperación de la SEP diseñó este portal de apoyo sobre la oferta educativa en México especializado para la población mexicana en el exterior. También ofrece orientación para tramites como la reincorporación o incorporación de estudiantes mexicanos que regresan a México.
MEXTERIOR offers guidance on the following topics:
- Revalidation of studies completed abroad
- School control standards, to access the national education system and know the guidelines of the SEP and other educational authorities
- Certificate of labor competencies, for those who have worked in another country
- Calls for student and teacher exchange programs
Some of the educational services available for Mexicans abroad are the following: community squares for the literacy of those over 15 years of age, online high school, open high school, UNAM baccalaureate, Open and Distance University of Mexico, National Institute for Education of Adults (INEA), National College of Professional and Technical Education, General Directorate of Training Centers for Work, among others.
