To start any procedure in any of the 57 Mexican consulates in Mexico and Canada, it is necessary to register on the MiConsulado platform and schedule an appointment. Via citas.sre.gob.mx It is possible to schedule any appointment throughout the day, every day of the week.
The procedures offered by the consulates are the issuance of a passport, consular registration, voter registration, dual nationality, marriage certificates, visas for foreigners, powers of attorney, among others.
For example, an appointment to process a passport, consular registration, voter ID, documents for foreigners, or dual nationality, it is necessary to wait two weeks to attend your appointment. On the other hand, for procedures of public faith, power of attorney, wills or repudiation of hereditary rights, the waiting time is four weeks.
Procedures generally open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Appointments can also be made by calling 1-424-309-0009 Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 5 PM (Utah time).
