Since 2017, the Government of Mexico implemented various measures to facilitate the entry or re-entry of repatriated Mexican students, at any level of the Educational System in Mexico.
By constitutional law, repatriated Mexican students can access education in Mexico in public and private schools, at any of the levels of the National Educational System (SEN). The measures implemented in 2017, facilitated the process of revalidation of studies by discarding the need for apostille or legalization of documents such as birth certificates or academic certificates.
For the revalidation process, it is necessary to present the document that certifies the completion of the corresponding academic level, for example, presenting the General Education Development (GED) certificate, allows the total revalidation of the baccalaureate level in Mexico.
In addition, documents issued in different languages must be accompanied by a free translation; and the lack of identity documents should not be an impediment for the student to continue with their studies, nor can the process be denied for it.
The procedure is carried out directly with the General Directorate of Accreditation, Incorporation and Revalidation, belonging to the Ministry of Public Education (SEP). Get more details in the following link: https://www.sep.gob.mx/wb/sep1/sep1_Direccion_General_de_Acreditacion
