DHS is seeking to streamline the system for the identification and prosecution of vulnerable individuals who qualify under the Title 42 humanitarian program. “While these grants are expected to save lives, they are not a substitute for the removal of Title 42 and restoration complete asylum processing, ”Lee Gelernt, an ACLU attorney, told the AP.
