Ready To Stay seeks to bring legal and advisory services to immigrants, so that they are informed about their options in obtaining permanent residence or US citizenship.
It is a nationwide campaign that, through coordination between 18 organizations from 50 states, seeks to bring information to immigrants and promote legislation and programs in their favor.
“Ready to Stay is a national coalition working to develop field capacity and coordination for the effective implementation of a large-scale immigration legalization program. Developed by organizations that provide legal, field and organizational experience ”, they explain on their website.
One of the objectives of this national organization is the creation and promotion of legal resources, community education tools, and training that support the entire migrant community in their migration process.
This campaign also seeks to support the efforts of legislators to pass the immigration reform proposed by President Joe Biden. "We hope that under the current administration we can progress and, with what is achieved (from the government), that the people who are going to walk by their side to give them that help do not doubt," explained Bishop Jaime Soto.
Among the organizations that make up Ready to Stay are the National Immigrant Justice Center, Informed Immigrant, American Immigration Council, Immigration Advocates, among others.
