California Governor Gavin Newsom announced the largest economic recovery plan in California history.
The governor explained that two out of every three Californians will receive the Golden State stimulus check. This means that a total of 12 billion dollars will be delivered to the population. On the other hand, he also announced the support program in the payment of rental housing, which consists of 5.2 billion dollars.

The rental payment plan offers assistance for tenants and low-income owners, covering 100% of the back rent and rent for the following months. Likewise, the government included an additional 2 billion dollars for the payment of water bills and other public services that are in arrears.

This program helps families and households that are having trouble paying rent and utilities, both past due payments and future payments. And that have been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It should be noted that this type of program, including the Golden State stimulus check, includes the population of undocumented migrants who have an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN).
