National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States from September 15 to October 15
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we seek to celebrate the culture of the communities of Latin American countries, the Caribbean and Spain. It also seeks to recognize this Hispanic community that has been fundamental in the development of the history of the United States.
Many cities, especially those with a large population of Hispanic origin, prepare activities and celebrations to commemorate this month.
In Los Angeles, for example, they will celebrate the month with musical and cultural events. “Los Angeles is home to a wealth of Latino heritage and history. Whether in the arts or academia, in our businesses or in our neighborhoods, Latinos have made invaluable contributions to every corner of our city, ”wrote Mayor Eric Garcetti.
In the city of Inglewood in Los Angeles County, the annual heritage festival will be held, recognizing the rich Hispanic and Latin American culture, as well as its contributions to US history.
