Regardless of whether you are outside of Mexican territory, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) protects you against any violation, lack or violation of your rights.
It is important that Mexicans who live in the United States know their rights, and even more important that these rights are respected outside the national territory. The “Defend yourself” section provides information on specific situations that Mexican migrants may experience during their stay in the United States.
For example, information on detention centers, consular protection, information on all Mexican consulates in the United States. In addition, the portal has information on deportation procedures through informative videos on who is involved in a deportation trial, how to carry out the deportation process on freedom, the cancellation of deportation and the types of hearings.
Similarly, the site provides information related to labor issues, such as salary recovery in case of deportation. It also addresses family issues, such as the importance of having a plan in case of family separation.
The CNDH makes available to Mexican migrants in the United States, a list of legal service providers in each state through pro bono attorneys.
Finally, it provides information on associations that protect the rights of migrants such as Acceso Latino or Chicanos por la Causa, as well as a directory of associations.
