Teach in the USA is a Participate Learning program, which provides the opportunity for foreign teachers to practice their profession in the United States, obtain a J visa and a teaching license, among other benefits.
This program provides opportunities for professional and personal growth to its participants. Foreign teachers can apply for primary school or language teaching positions, including English as a second language. In addition, the program brings together various subjects that are related to the countries of the applicants, to develop a cultural exchange between teachers and students.
To apply to the program, teachers must meet the following requirements:
- Have a university degree in education or teaching
- Have experience of at least 3 years as a full-time teacher of students between 5 and 18 years old
- Have a driver's license and one year of driving experience
- Not be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Availability of at least two years of working in the program
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Be fluent in English, have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Being an active teacher
In addition, there is no established age limit, so teachers who have the minimum required experience can apply.

Following eligibility and form review, Participate Learning staff will review the application and schedule a virtual interview. Subsequently, if the interview is successful, the next step is to submit the required documentation and schedule an in-person interview.
Finally, the applicant goes through an eligibility review again, to confirm that they are eligible to receive a job offer, J visa and teaching license in the United States.
