A coalition of more than 80 large companies, trade associations and organizations sent a statement to congressmen about the importance of legislating in favor of the defense of Deferred Action (DACA) and its beneficiaries.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Coalition for the American Dream includes some of the largest companies in the United States and the world, such as Apple, Meta, General Motors, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Google, Adobe, among others. The communique<\/a> was addressed to Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives. In it, the coalition recognizes the importance of immigrant workers to the country's economy and that the defense of DACA must have the bipartisan support of the American people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Likewise, the statement addressed the importance of DACA not only at a social level, but also at an economic level. Therefore, the ruling of the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit endangers the benefits generated by DACA beneficiaries.<\/p>

\u00a0\u201cThe worker shortage will worsen for America if hundreds of thousands of critical workers are stripped of their legal ability to support themselves and their families. That is the situation we currently face if this sentence becomes final, and it is the reason for our request today,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>

The end of the DACA program would mean the loss of 22,000 jobs each month for two years, or a thousand jobs lost per business day. For this reason, the coalition asks Congress to approve a bipartisan and permanent legislative solution that allows Dreamers to continue contributing to the construction of communities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cThe Fifth Circuit Court's ruling makes it clear that Congress cannot afford to ignore this issue any longer. We urge you to quickly pass legislation this year that will help Dreamers, business America and our country,\" explains the statement signed by more than 80 companies and organizations.<\/p>
