The United States has a large collection of labor laws that protect and promote the rights of the nation's workers. In addition, there are government agencies and departments such as the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which are responsible for protecting workers and working conditions in the workplace. that they perform<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In this sense, all workers in the United States, regardless of whether they are an immigrant with or without documents, temporary worker, citizen, beneficiary of Deferred Action, resident, have the right not to be discriminated against<\/strong> because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, pregnancy, or for any other reason. In this way, they have the right to report any act of discrimination to the corresponding authorities.<\/p>

In addition, they have the right to receive fair and equitable payment<\/strong> according to the work they perform. Employers must pay at least the minimum wage established in each state, as well as overtime, family and medical leave. When working more than 40 hours in a week, the additional hours are considered overtime and must be paid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

They also have the right to work in a safe space free from health hazards<\/strong>. The physical conditions of work spaces must be safe and employers must provide the safety equipment required by their employees. It is also important to mention that workers have the right to receive adequate training<\/strong> on the workplace in a language they understand<\/strong>.<\/p>

For example, OSHA is an agency dedicated to promoting and protecting the safety and health rights of workers. This agency reviews the working conditions of workplaces to take care of workers in the United States. Other aspects reviewed by OSHA are the right to adequate equipment provided by the employer, as well as requesting an application from the agency at your workplace and knowing its results.<\/p>

Another right that workers have is free association<\/strong>, which allows the creation of unions and labor organizers in order to improve their working conditions and\/or salaries or simply to protect their interests.<\/p>

Finally, it is important to know that workers have the right not to suffer reprisals for exercising their rights<\/strong>. In other words, employers cannot punish or fire their workers for exercising and demanding what corresponds to them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
