Income taxes also apply to them and if they evade paying taxes it can result in greater chances of deportation and less opportunity to fix their immigration status. As explained by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the ITIN \u201cis a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a United States taxpayer identification number, but who do not have or are not eligible for a Social Security number (SSN) \u201d .<\/p><p>By obtaining this number, you will not be regularizing your immigration status, it is only valid for paying taxes. However, the IRS cannot use the information you provided to deport you, as required by section 6103 of the Tax Code.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
