If you’re looking ways to support the hundreds of migrant children and their families, here are organizations doing work on the ground to support.<\/p>

  1. The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    The largest immigration non-profit in Texas,\u00a0RAICES<\/a>\u00a0recently launched the Family Reunification Program to identify children in detention and reunite them with their parents.<\/p>

    A fundraiser is currently\u00a0going viral on Facebook<\/a>\u00a0and is halfway to its 2.5 million dollar goal.<\/p>

    Join their webinar on Wednesday to learn what you can do in your own community.<\/p>

    RAICES has an\u00a0online toolkit\u00a0<\/a>you can use to learn and educate others about what’s happening to families.<\/p>

    2. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)<\/strong><\/p>

    The ACLU is famous for many things, including being the cause of\u00a0Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s fundraiser<\/a>\u00a0for President Trump’s birthday last week.<\/p>

    The organization is addressing civil liberties issues including ICE and Border Patrol abuse and immigration policies. Every contribution bit helps.<\/p>

    3. Kids in Need of Defense (KIND)<\/strong><\/p>

    KIND works to provide legal representation to unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children.<\/p>

    4. Asylum Seeker Advocacy Problem (ASAP)<\/strong><\/p>

    ASAP\u00a0<\/a>works to prevent the deportation of refugees and asylum seekers and provides a rapid response team during crises such as this one.<\/p>

    5. Families Belong Together<\/strong><\/p>

    A coalition lead by the group\u00a0Women for Immigration,\u00a0<\/a>Families Belong Together has been organizing marches and rallies demanding an end to the separation of immigrant children from their families.<\/p>

    6. Border Angels<\/strong><\/p>

    Border Angels<\/a>\u00a0is a California-based nonprofit that advocates for human rights, humane immigration reform, and social justice at the US-Mexico border. Fund education initiatives, refugee support, and water drops on migrant paths in the California desert.<\/p>

    7. Call your elected officials<\/strong><\/p>

    Every single Democrat in the Senate has signed on to a bill to ban family separation.<\/p>

    If you have a Republican senator, urge them to support\u00a0HELP Separated Children Act<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Keep Families Together Act<\/a>. They can stop this right here, right now.<\/p>
