TheDreamUS is currently accepting applications for the National and Opportunity Scholarship.
TheDream.US is one of the largest scholarship programs in the United States to provide access to college education to Dreamers regardless of whether or not they are beneficiaries of Deferred Action (DACA) and to youth with temporary protected status (TPS). Since November 1, applications have been open for two of its most important Opportunity and National scholarships.
The National Scholarship, for high school or community college graduates: Offers scholarships of more than $ 16,500 for an associate's degree and $ 33,000 for a bachelor's degree. They even offer options at online universities. The call to submit applications began on November 1, 2021 and will close on February 28, 2022.
On the other hand, the Opportunity Scholarship, for students who live in specific and excluded states where they cannot obtain state tuition: The scholarship offers more than $ 80,000 dollars to cover tuition, accommodation on campus and meals. The applications started in the same way on November 1, 2021 and will end on January 31, 2022.
To apply, it is necessary to be a young immigrant or a TPS beneficiary with a presence in the United States since before the age of 16 and before November 1, 2016.
In this call, 50% more scholarships will be awarded so that young immigrants can continue their university studies. In addition, TheDream.US has agreements in more than 70 universities in 21 states and Washington DC.
For the period 2022-2023 they also seek to enroll 1,500 new scholarship holders to continue increasing 50% each year in scholarships awarded.
